Gator’s Dickside - Cape Canaveral

Ok, so I have been to almost all the restaurants in Port Canaveral by now, but have been wondering why I haven't stopped by Gators Dockside. Now I really wish I had come here sooner. The menu is extensive and should have something for all appetites. I got the mini burgers, large sliders that were excellent. I was shocked. The first time I have felt like I got a good value. Beers on tap have a good selection and they are cold. Staff are decent and efficient. A good place for people like me who smoke cigars, they have a deck down the side right accross from the SpaceX facility. Very cool, saw the cargo Dragon capsule. Anyways, this place is also great for families and people with guests visiting, saw lots of that too.. Not as crowded as Grills and Rusty's but every bit as good

Fantastic experience! The staff was extremely friendly and welcomed our dogs as if they were their own. The food was outstanding, and the atmosphere was remarkable. We enjoyed great music throughout the day. Highly reliable!

Gators was a total big accident for us. We had to kill a few hours and the view tower next door was closed. As hungry and not too far from our way to the airport, we found Gators. There is pride on the hot sauces here and salads were served with several protein options, including Buffalo Biss, which I really enjoyed. What really topped it all was the comfortable environment and great waiting staff. If you're in the area, you can't go wrong with Gators.

The service was excellent. The food tended to be fried or frozen, but that matched our expectations. We were pleasantly surprised to find Basil Hayden's Old Fashioned on the menu for just $6.00—almost too good to be true. However, the drink was mostly ice and quite watered down (see photo). The outdoor terrace with a view of the water could use better lighting; perhaps the lights were out that night. Overall, it’s a decent place to enjoy dinner while watching the cruise ships.

We love this place for food and the outdoor atmosphere. They are the best place in Port canaveral for atmosphere combined with food. Arrival before 4:00 to see the cruise ships going. Be sure to win all as if you miss them! Super fun place!
