フィードバックを提供するWhen we arrived, the restaurant was not aware that they were still listed on Open Table. It was Saturday at 7pm and the restaurant appeared empty, just like in the pictures. The bartender informed us that they did not have a hostess or server available, so we needed to order directly at the bar.
I had high expectations for a upscale dining experience but was disappointed to find a loud sports bar playing the Super Bowl on multiple channels.
This was our first visit to the restaurant (my partner and I, aged 64 and 60). I was surprised to find that it was located inside a hotel. You have to walk through the lobby and down a hallway to get there. Despite it being a Saturday night over the MLK holiday weekend, it wasn't too crowded. We decided to sit at the bar, where the bartender was polite and professional. The bar didn't have a wide selection of liquors. There were also a few hotel guests dining there. We noticed a lot of crumbs in the groove between the bar counter where we were sitting and the ledge. It seems when the counter is wiped down from the bar side, this gap is not visible to staff. The food was delicious and the portions were satisfying, so we didn't need a take-home box. My partner ordered the fried shrimp (8 large pieces) with extra crispy fries, while I opted for the grilled veggie sandwich without the bun. The cole slaw side dish was a bit bland, lacking enough mayo or flavoring like vinegar, onion, or seasonings. I had to add some mayo from a squeeze bottle on the bar to improve the taste. Unfortunately, there was no military discount available.
