Le Bellevue - Capbreton

We were drawn in by seeing the fresh shellfish counter on the corner of the building, and the titillating offers for the menu du jour. For 15 euros each, we were invited to a fresh seafood buffet as our appetizer, a choice of salmon, lamb, or hake as a main course, and ice cream chocolate mousse or apple tarte for dessert. Of the 7 dishes offered on the buffet table, each was more delicious than the other, and all were mouthwateringly presented on a bed of ice. Two of us enjoyed the salmon, laced with capers and burre blanc, the best we have ever eaten! Our desserts were served with a flourish, and a small saucer of chocolate truffles accompanied our coffee. The service was as good as the food, our waiter enjoying playing with us and tolerating our terrible French while he practiced his very polished, albeit limited English. I taught him a new word for his vocabulary awesome , which aptly described our meal!

The food was good and the location is pleasant. The service was not bad, I felt they could give guests more of their time.

One of the more stylish (fish)restaurants in the area (although seats may not please everyone). Rather standard menu but all well done. Efficient and professional service (the garçon that was on duty when we were there for dinner did a great job on a busy evening). The entrée tartare st jacques deserves a special mention as it was fantastic!

Dans un cadre chic mais pas pompeux, avec vue sur le chenal dans lequel les voiliers remontent vers le port. Le plateau simple de fruit de mer etait frais et bien présenté, avec la bonne dose de mayonnaise maison. Personnel pro, attentionné mais pas intrusif. Prix dans la moyenne pour le standing. Une boutique ecailler dispo pour emporter un plateau frais chez vous.

Petit dîner en couple pour anniversaire de mariage. Repas parfait, mets et service très soignés. Résultat impeccable.
