I took off one star for the breakfast with the COVID-19 they have to give it to you to go that's okay but the selection could be better and the fruit bananas we're looking a little on the dark side maybe some apples would be nice also. Im updating my review I needed to spend another night and the next morning they had fresh bananas and also apples so they did look at the reviews on Yelp and make adjustments so I'm changing my review to 5 stars
This is a great, pet-friendly place to stay. I have been here twice. 15-minute drive to the Canyon (one of the closest hotels) and also around plenty of restaurants. Very friendly, accommodating staff. Large clean rooms. Decent breakfast in the morning. There is also an indoor pool to enjoy. Highly recommend!
I'm traveling across country with my camper but decided to stop here for the WiFi. After not being successful the first night of logging on, I figured at least I can get breakfast out of the deal. Woke up the next morning and called down to check to make sure the WiFi password was correct and it was. Still didn't work. So I asked what time breakfast was done and told 10am. We walked down stairs at 9:15 to get some ice and they already stopped breakfast. The worse part is the the corporate office refuses to hold this franchise responsible and is completely ok with them lying to customers. Also this place has many safety violations. Back door doesn't lock and anyone can walk in. Maintenance closets held open by trash cans due to water damage. The closet also holds the fire safety system. I walked in and took pictures. This should not be allowed for the public to be inside. Worse part they said they'd contact me today and resolve the issue, again another lie! Stay far away from this place! All they had to do was call me
The hotel was right down the road from Palo Duro Canyon State Park, which was the reason for us traveling so that right there was a huge bonus! This hotel is newly renovated and was very clean. The hotel staff was super friendly and the breakfast was good. Now the pool seemed a bit chilly for an indoor pool I think something must have been not working correctly, because the next morning when I went to take a pic of the pool it was warm in the pool area like it should be.... but not a big deal. This hotel is pet friendly, clean, has a small gym, small indoor pool, good breakfast, clean rooms, friendly staff and location was perfect so stay here if your looking for a hotel in this area!!
Was traveling cross country this time last year through dreaded snow storms and had to stop for the night. Every other traveler had been doing the same and most rooms and hotels around were all booked. Luckily (or so I thought) this hotel still had a few vacancies. Ordered a room on my phone and arrived. I understand it was odd timing and late in the night but the front desk girl (girl as in teenager not adult) was chatting on the phone unbothered. We waited for her to finish her call and she checked us in and handed us our keys. After making our way upstairs and to our room, the keys she created wouldn 't work. A man staying across the hall saw us struggling for a bit (I don 't like to admit defeat hah) and tried to help us but none of us could open this door. We went back downstairs to the front desk and the employee was missing. After waiting endlessly (good 15-20 mins) she returned and hearing our complaint, perplexingly walked upstairs to show us how to open the door. The keys still wouldn 't work and her response was oops! and then a sprint downstairs to recreate brand new keys for our room. As if this wasnt annoying enough walking back and forth downstairs when you 've been driving for days without breaks with your legs cramping up from a small car, the anxiety of driving into snow blizzards safely or just being tired in the middle of the night and wanting to fall into a temporary coma on the bed...we got our new keys to the room opened it and it was a MESS. The fan was going on high (in the winter), and unbreathable amounts of air freshener had been sprayed to cover up the smells of old takeout, and BO from gym class. To top it off, our room was visibly dirty. Shower not clean, crumb covered desk, and smudged mirrors. We then asked the front desk girl if we could swap rooms and she rambled some nonsense about how it wasn 't possible because she was the only one working and the other rooms are ALL dirty. Umm. All of them? What was she doing when we needed new keys? Ive stayed in many hotel brands, motels, run down sheds, campsites and rental units in my life ranging from penthouses to literal POS holes and I 've run into a lot of issues. Ex: Backwoods of southern MO in dead summer heat bugs with broken screen windows and electrical issues. MGM skylofts the maids stole once from my packed luggage in the closet. Countless moldy hotel breakfasts. I 've only ever rated two hotels in my life as 1 Star awful . Funny enough both are now best westerns!! Oh, and BW only sent an automated confirmation email to our complaint. Must 've been too busy cleaning up all those dirty rooms the front desk couldn 't get to haha.
