Trattoria Italia - Cannington

I had a disappointing experience with the pizza at this restaurant. It was burnt and had no flavor at all, and I ended up paying $80 for it. I would definitely recommend Domino's over this place.

We ordered the spicy wings, which arrived cold, and my mother’s chicken burger was incredibly dry and overcooked. I chose the linguine, but I couldn't even manage a third bite. The pasta was overcooked and had a gummy texture, the shrimp were whole and tasted frozen, and the sauce seemed like it came straight from a jar. I've never had linguine prepared with such poor-quality tomato sauce; it reminded me of a reheated frozen meal. The portion sizes were ridiculous—there must have been nearly a kilogram of pasta on my plate, which was far too much. It's evident that the staff is inexperienced and lacks an understanding of authentic Italian cuisine. They didn’t check in on us during our meal and didn't even bother to clear the dirty plates from the table next to us while we were there. Instead, they spent their time on their phones, chatting amongst themselves. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

Let's get straight to the point of this review, the food was very disappointing for its price. Beef ribs was hard,lukewarm and the BBQ sauce was sour. Gnocchi was also hard, my kids milkshake was almost like water and had to get them to remake it. My cappuccino was ok and could work on the temperature caused it was warm not hot at all. Overall lessons learnt from coming here, highly not recommended

I went to this place on my birthday a few weeks ago and unfortunately it was not good at all, I had gone to this place last year in December and it was very good but I think this is when they had a different name? And different owners etc because when I walked in the restaurant this time, different look, different menu etc. I will say that my mum ordered a octopus and squid salad and my brother ordered a creamy chicken pasta and they both said it was good, not amazing but good. My dad ordered a red sauce seafood marinara pasta and he said it was okay as well. My sister in law and I had the same thing which was a creamy prawn pasta and it was sooooooooooooooo bad, I never leave bad reviews because I just hate it and I've never had anything this bad but the sauce was literally butter and oil in spaghetti, and the prawns were chewy, it was uneatable we both barely touched it, and we got Arancini as well as entree and it was horibble, they had some kind of fondue cheese on top and it was just grose and the actual arancini itself was so bad, no flavour, dry etc. Also we all asked for drinks at the beginning, no cocktails or anything just whisky or wine etc so nothing long to make, the restaurant was empty btw AND they took over 20 mins to do the drinks and bring it over and staff were just standing there, I don't understand. My brother had to actually go up and get the drinks himself because at some point he could see the drinks up on the counter for someone to bring it over but no one was doing anything. Anyway that is all. I do not recommend, please don't go there.

Expensive for what it is the food is bad, like really bad. And the service is disgraceful. Came on the weekend and they served me something I didn’t order, when I told the waitress sorry I ordered X not this, she stood over me and entered into a debate with me how i ordered that and refused to take it back. Was with a group of friends and was so embarrassed. When all the drinks came out everyone got theirs except me and I waited another 15 minutes for my drink. I felt like she did that on purpose. will never ever come back and if you got this far, spare yourself a terrible meal.
