Trattoria Ubud - Canggu

Wonderful food at pocket-friendly prices. Place is something out of the way, but it is worth it.

A group of us headed here for dinner whilst staying at Arya Hostel, we had a great meal and the menu was good, not just your classic pizza and pastas. Food was tasty and the service was good. I would recommend the squid ink taglioni.

The place is easy to find if you are using Google map or any GPS. Yet it designed too close to the road makes it not comfortable and noisy. Food and drinks taste so-so. The pumpkin soup is poor. The ginger tea come from sachet, not raw ginger. Price is huge but the food taste isn't worth it. The staff is super friendly.

First the place seemed to be very comfortable and lovely atmosphere with friendly staff until 2 gekkos dropped on our table straight from ceiling. After that we saw two mice running outside totally free to come inside the restaurant, but staff did nothing about it. The last straw was when I found a mosquito inside my pizza like it was baked inside it. I understand that Bali is place full of nature and animals, but in my opinion they should not be included in your orders in restaurant. However, food was delicious but the experience was one of the worst I have ever had.

On a previous visit (2015) we ordered pizza and calzone. Both were cooked beautifully and were very tasty. For lunch the two days ago we had pasta, which was overlooked, and calamari, which was not only overlooked but tasted either rancid or as if it was going off. The calamari was left uneaten. It was a disappointing lunch after our previous wonderful experience for dinner when the restaurant was busier and the staff seemed happier.
