Undoubtedly the best halaal beef burger place ive eaten at in the country. Please open a branch in Johannesburg, It will actually do so well. Maybe in sandton ? Or rosebank ? Greenside !!?

Loved their burgers, but alas Boooo THEY CLOSED. They are no more, gone to meet their makers, kaput, an ex burger place. One day there, the next, not there. Like most of us I guess.<br/ <br/ UPDATE Now called 'Tom '  (I believe it 's owned by Jerry 's Burger Bar? and the burgers are pretty similarly good as to when it was Woodies. So it 's still MY burger destination at the V A.

One of the best burgers. I can easily compare woodies with Shake Shack, Five guys or any other international chain.<br/ <br/ Good job guys. Keep it up

Woodies is the best and supercedes all takeaway, fast food burger chains. You place your order at the counter and get given a number, and when your food is ready you will be called. The burger itself is fantatsic, it is a 100g patty with tomato, lettuce, onion, gherkin, cheese and mustard toppings. Personally I found the mustard a bit overpowering, but this did not detract from the overall deliciousness of the burger! You are have the option to order a side of fries, which is great value for money. The burger itself is huge, so by the time you get half way through your fries you're already full! Just a warning: the burger is quite messy so be prepared to get your hands dirty as they do not offer cutlery! Great experience here, definitely worth it!
