Lock Tavern - Camden

We made a reservation but ended up having to sit outdoors. It would have been enjoyable on a nice day, but unfortunately, the weather wasn't cooperating. We were quite cold and the staff seemed to keep forgetting about us outside.

I can’t remember how to spell her name but mailka is the most amazing waitress. She was so polite and amazing to our very large groups needs. So positive and smiley and nothing was an issue. Can’t thank her enough for making our experience here amazing!! Thank you

Dreadful dining experience. I paid a £10 deposit to reserve a table in advance, but when I arrived 40 minutes early, my booking and table could not be located for 20 minutes. When they finally found my reservation, I was informed that they had run out of Sunday Dinners, the only item on the menu. They claimed to have tried to call me to reserve food (which they did not) and said they had also sent me an email. Upon checking, I did receive an email about the food shortage while I was waiting at the bar for my table. They managed to put together a makeshift meal with what little they had left, offering no vegetarian options and suggesting cauliflower cheese instead. The food arrived cold, and when we were presented with the bill, they did not deduct the £10 deposit I had already paid. They also charged us full price for the meals and extra for the cauliflower cheese. After finishing our disappointing meal, we inquired about dessert and were told the kitchen was closed. To make matters worse, they had also run out of the beer we were drinking. Overall, a truly appalling experience.

Love this pub….it’s my favourite Camden venue. Visited with my wonderful son for an early evening meal, as per the staff were excellent BUT the food very very disappointing….I ordered the Caesar salad which I have to say was more than disappointing…limp lettuce, stale croutons , one egg and 2 of the smallest anchovies …. I should have sent it back when it turned up looking like a poor excuse of a salad….let’s hope it improves next time…….my sons Fish and chips was equally as weak but let him leave his own review. Apart from that I still like the venue and the staff , just have a word with the kitchen…….xx

It's rare I find myself wanting to write a review of a night from a few weeks ago. I've been to the Lock Tavern before, and every single time I go completely outdoes the last time. Rahela was a delight and Muna was an absolute diamond. To call you ladies professional, kind, courteous, friendly, bubbly and welcoming would be an understatement. The drinks kept flowing and I had a wonderful time with my family. I absolutely loved my time here, again, and a huge thanks to the staff for the joy of their company at many brief points through the night! Fabulous drinks Wonderful staff and a Hot fireplace what more could you ask for!? All the best,
