The 50's Diner - Cambridge

Make sure to enjoy this place for breakfast. Today we had to wait for what we ordered to the server to ask for utensils. We got a fork and a napkin and she disappeared before we realized we had no knives. Had to wait. The French toastei was poured into the bread and cooked. Inside was dry white bread. All meat was fried. Toast was only roasted on one side. No pleasant breakfast.

We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. I ordered a garden salad with Thousand Island dressing. It was delicious, but a bit pricey. I also ordered a hot beef sandwich with French fries and vegetables. The beef was tasty, but the gravy was too thick and tasted like canned gravy. The service was slow and not very good. Overall, I would give this experience 3 stars at most. I do not plan on returning to this location.

Atmospfere, friendly and amiable, Price fair, quite often a line up at the door at supper and lunch time, but only a short wait. Friends who visit us from the U.S. always ask to go to 50s for supper, (because they remember it from the...previous visit.

We always have a great meal at this restaurant. It's one of our favorite spots. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. What more could you ask for?

We went to lunch and had the special phylii. Cheese beef panani with French fries and came with homemade vegetable soup. It was delicious. servuce was fast and efficient. We'd go back.
