Cafe Arena - Cambridge

Last Thursday me and my daughter ordered a Mega full English breakfast at The Cafe Arena on Burleigh Street. The portions were large however, the food on our plates were highly salty which made it inedible. Also, even though we were both very polite the staff appeared rude, frosty and very unwelcoming so we won't be eating here again. Maybe they dislike their jobs!

Such a little gem. It looks quite inauspicious from the outside but it’s seriously good. Great, fresh food and drink. Worth a visit!

I stopped here with three children (2, 4 and 12 . They had grilled cheese sandwiches and I had the halloumi open sandwich. Service and food were all fantastic and I would highly recommend the cafe. Excellent takeaway cakes ! And good value for money :

Today I visited Café Arena after a very long time, Covid being the the only factor as I haven’t needed to be in central Cambridge until today. Covid safety measures in place so rest assured! (Hand sanitiser everywhere, social distancing stickers and NHS track and trace posters also! As always the service was good and the food was amazing! Definitely did more than fill a hole and for the price of £5.95 the ham cheese and mushroom omelette certainly impressed. The mint hot chocolate was very good also and as good if not better than the chain version. No names.. Overall, If you’re looking for a quick meal between shopping or just fancy a coffee Arena is perfect and has my vote! Takeaway is also available!

I eat here to avoid all the big tax dodging coffee shops. Nice people ....but the cafe does need a refurb, was quite surprised to see it was not at least spruced up a bit over the lockdown.
