As for Caesar, he offered us many excuses and made us feel guilty. I would advise others to look for a different catering company. After my husband spoke with Caesar, I sent him this message: "I asked my husband to speak to you today since he is more pragmatic than I am. He informed me of your response, and I am extremely dissatisfied with the service we received from your business. I'm particularly disappointed that you provided him with a list of excuses. Here are my main concerns that I will include in my review: 1. You arrived late on the day of the event. 2. You claimed that everyone has taken something, yet my family felt you did not control the situation properly. 3. Despite our requests, there was no dressing for the salad, which you said had been discarded. 4. Nothing was labeled properly, leading to confusion about what items were. 5. The chicken enchiladas were dry and lacked sauce. The labels for the enchiladas were reversed, causing confusion for our vegetarian guests. 6. There was a lack of clear communication regarding our security deposit, the missing chafing dishes, and their cleaning. 7. Using Kirkland brand chips? We could have sourced that much cheaper. The service we received did not justify the $1,800 expense. In return, we received this message from Caesar: "Hello. I sincerely apologize that you were not happy with our service. I'm sorry for the 15-minute late arrival and the lack of communication. I can assure you that there was dressing for the salad. The staff member who helped at the facility had a copy of the bill, and we went over every item to confirm what was included. I even mentioned that our enchiladas don’t travel well, but you insisted on having them. I directed my staff on how to prepare the toppings properly. I saw one of your helpers return the covers incorrectly, which is beyond my control. We have always used Kirkland brand chips. Since Mark mentioned he had been eating them daily when he worked in Cambria, I assumed he was familiar with them. We've never made our own chips and have never claimed to do so. Also, we do not charge for the chips; we only account for the guacamole. We are a very small family business with just six of us. We strive to make each event as smooth as possible to ensure customer satisfaction, but there are limits to what we can control. Everything you ordered was delivered." In summary, our experience with Caesar’s catering was disappointing, and we believe you should consider other options for your events.
This restaurant offers some of the best Mexican food in the area. As someone from Los Angeles, I can't say they have the best tacos in California, but they definitely rank among the best on the central coast. Everything we've tried has been delicious—from the Asada and Al Pastor to the Chile Verde, and especially the salsas. There's a zesty red salsa that packs a real punch, and a savory green one that I can't get enough of. I've visited both locations so far, and while the one in Cambria is centrally located and easier to find, the brick-and-mortar spot is also worth the effort. One of the coolest features is that you can choose the size of the burrito you want!
We have been eating with bonuses for years and the food and service are always impeccable. Best Mexican cuisine in SLO County, hands down! However, this review is for their catering service. We had bonuses recently our rehearsal dinner and a welcome party at the night before our wedding. Cesar was super easy to work, helpful and flexible with all our menu and appointment requests. The food was phenomenal, and the price was great! Could not recommend bonuses enough for catering, or just a casual lunch when you go through the area.
I have family in town and I?m always looking for good food and this is it. Last time I dropped by their little truck and tried all their meats on tacos, the pastor and chile verde are the standouts. The salsa verde is very good. This time got the chile verde super burrito, it was huge and tasty! Their bean and cheese burrito is a sleeper though, so add one of those to your order. All in all, i think burritos are the move here, you won?t be disappointed. Can?t wait to try their breakfast burritos next time!
