The Gold Kitchen - Calumet-Norvelt

Very ghetto and dirty. No one had mask on. Kids were running the Uber orders. My WHOLE order was canceled because of one thing they ran out of. I asked if I could have the rest of my order they said no and I would have to cancel the order myself on my end know Damn well that would make me get charged the full price. Safe your money and be safe.

So I ordered from The Gold kitchen and while I didn't get the rice with ny ordered of shrimp kabobs, I was happy with the prices vs quantity and quality of the food. The crab balls are a must have.The shrimp kabobs were delicious. My co-worker had the salmon burger which she said was delicious. Definitely will return.

Although my order was slightly messed up, I received just shrimp instead of shrimp and grits, it was still a great meal. The other half of my order was the breakfast steak meal, which was also delicious.

I live in the neighborhood, and Gold Kitchen been a great go-to for me when I get back late from work and need a quick place to pick up a reasonably priced dinner (you can pick up a sandwich and fries for less than $10 . The food is fresh, tasty, and generously portioned. The folks who work the counter are also very nice. The gold shrimp are kinda over the top, but fun. The fries are shockingly good, and, yes, you DO want fried onions on your burger! I've also gotten breakfast in the morning on the way to work, and it's a ton of food. Head to this place when you're hungry, don't want to spend a lot of money (and Tony's or Bab are closed! , and want to support a local business..
