Best bar in Calumet. Beautiful, historic, friendly, and not too much riff raff like the other places in town. Moscow mules with a real copper mug!

The famous stained glass bar canopy is a must see for returning and new visitors. The woodwork and other decor from the heyday of the Copper County is superb.

Besides having the most interesting and historic decor, Shute's is a warm and friendly bar. The bartenders know their stuff, and the owner, George, is awesome.

This is a historic bar with interesting interior design you have to see the stained glass overhang above the bar). I came in on a Saturday morning after walking around the Calumet farmers market. A board advertising **** mary's beckoned me inside. Apparently that is a new thing for Shute's. I could tell this was a community gathering place. Lots of people were there enjoying conversation and drinks. I had a good time getting to know Calumet locals. Drink prices were fair.
