Trio Cafe - Calgary

I visited Trio solo and didn’t have the best experience. The server came across friendly and was doing his best to help customers, but he was by himself and was not able to track on all orders. The food quality was okay, but not impressive. The furniture in patio was not comfortable, they need to invest on repairing those.

The staff was welcoming and provided excellent service. We started with the Trio Mezza Platter as an appetizer, which included Hummus, BBQ Chicken Wings, and Baba Ghanouj. The Baba Ghanouj was flavorful and delicious. For our main course, we chose the Lamb Chops Grill and Beef Kabab with rice and Fattoush on the side. Unfortunately, both dishes were subpar in quality and lacked flavor. The beef kabab was particularly tough and difficult to eat.

We absolutely adore this restaurant! We initially came in for a coffee, assuming it was just a coffee shop, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was outstanding and the service was top-notch. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Great presentation and service. The sides were yummy but the beef kababs were very tough. Would have given it a 10/10 if the beef was tender.

TRIO is a combination of a shisha bar and restaurant, but they need to decide on one concept. The decor is outdated and the atmosphere smelled musty. Eating a meal surrounded by men playing cards and smoking shisha was not enjoyable. The constant disappointment of dishes not being available was frustrating for both us and the waitress. The wait for food was long, and when it arrived, it seemed haphazardly thrown together. Our group unanimously agreed that we would not be returning. It's a shame that the management only responds to positive reviews, as they are missing out on valuable feedback from customers. They have the potential to improve if they listen to criticism and make changes for the better. Overall, a disappointing experience.
