Rose Garden Thai Restaurant - Calgary

I have been coming to this place for 14 years! It is our favorite Thai restaurant. They never let us down! The food is some of the best I have ever tried!

Tasty food, attentive staff, cozy interiors. Daily buffet and menu items available. We ordered off the menu and appreciated the speed of items delivered, particularly at lunchtime.

This family-owned restaurant offers a delightful dining experience in a unique Thai bamboo jungle setting. While some aspects may appear slightly worn, the atmosphere and concept are impressive. The food is delicious with great flavoring, perfect for those looking for authentic Thai cuisine. The dishware is colorful but could use an update. Overall, it is a basic Thai restaurant that is good for any occasion, with mid-range prices.

A wonderful experience with culturally rich interior that can make you forget that your in downtown Calgary. <br/ <br/ A note: It is located on the second floor, so it lacks disability access for people who struggles in climbing the stairs. <br/ <br/ At first the entrance of the restaurant was greeted with a dark, uninviting set of stairs. It reminds me of a haunted house.<br/ <br/ Every time I go to a Thai restaurant, I always order a Thai ice tea and it was amazing. It was refreshing, cold and just the right amount of that oh so sweet evaporated milk. I highly recommend it.<br/ <br/ Our first order was the calamari. It was nicely presented, cooked well, but it was bland. You have to add the sweet and sour sauce that came with it to add flavor.<br/ <br/ Our main course were pad thai and hor mok kai, chicken wrapped in banana leaf with zucchini, basil and red curry paste. The chicken was really good that my girlfriend reminded of her food back home in the Philippines and it goes well with coconut rice. The pad Thai on the other hand was OK, nicely presented, but it lacked spiciness , and nuts which I love. The sauce could've been done better by adding just a bit more.<br/ <br/ Overall, it was a great experience and I will definitely come back for more.<br/ <br/
