Mazaj Lounge & Restaurant - Calgary

1. Let me begin on a positive note, the place itself is quite cool looking fun. Order led a beer lunch, a chicken Shawarma fries. After it came, very disappointing, Bland, extremely small, unusual for a Mediterranean place (the food was overpriced $20...dreadly). The waiter didn't even come to see if everything was okay or wants to drink another. I had to hunt him for my bill. 1st last visit.

I have to say I was very excited to eat this place. The menu is half Lebanese and has everything else I don't want to see any Italian food on the menu. When I go to a Lebanese restaurant, I expect everything... Lebanese food on the menu. I can't believe how much fries and rice put them on the plate. You can feed a whole family with just one order. I wish the menu had pictures, so we can understand what we eat. The music in the restaurant is very loud and it was very difficult to entertain each other. We asked them to turn it off, but in 15 minutes it was back. (I was very mad). If you want to turn on the music, it should be after 8:00. After dinner. Now... the waitress! Not very helpful. I never asked if we want more drinks. Not helpful in describing some of our dishes we wanted to eat, they had no knowledge even if they were working in this restaurant. There is more to be a waitress than just serving drinks, and after dinner she never asked us if we wanted coffee or dessert. She just asked if we wanted to pay the bill. With this said, we saw the manager walking around and he can never walk around and asked people whether their food was good or even. I have to say the food was very moderate and not so good. I'd rather go to a Pita Square and have a Donair for a fraction of the price. The amount of food we got, which was usually rice or fries. It was very expensive for what we have. And we had no alcohol drinks. And end this. I'm not going back. The first impression was not very good, and I have to say if it remains so empty that it was not very busy. You may not be there long. In the restaurant business you have to be on everything, and I have to say it is sad, but it was a big mistake!

The Shisha was excellent, service was top-notch, the ambience was beautiful, and the staff was friendly. Roxy provided exceptional service and made sure our experience was excellent. I look forward to returning with friends soon. The restaurant also has ample parking available nearby.

The food was fantastic, the staff was excellent, and the atmosphere was wonderful! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice spot to relax. 10/10 would recommend.

I visited this restaurant with my friends once. The shisha was excellent and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely return again.
