As new residents of Caledonia, we were eager to try out Africanos. However, our experience was very disappointing and we have no plans to return. Our food took over an hour to arrive, even though we arrived before many other tables who were served before us. Our children were so hungry that they were almost in tears, worried about missing the Caledonia homecoming game. After nearly an hour of waiting, our waitress informed us that our food had been given to someone else. Eventually, after an hour and 20 minutes, we finally received our meals. The manager or owner came over to apologize and assured us that our dinners would be comped, but we were disheartened to learn that this meant only a $6 discount on our bill. This lack of acknowledgment and efforts to make things right left us extremely disappointed, and we have no intention of returning to this establishment.
