In2thai - Cairns

My wife and I dined here on Tuesday 25th Jul 2017. The owner/manager, Chris, was very welcoming and a great host - well-spoken and refined.We had Tom Yum Tofu soup and Tom Kha Chicken soup for starters. These soups were rich in ingredients, thickish and very flavoursome – unlike the runny standard soups in other Thai restaurants.Our mains comprised Jungle Beef Curry and Pad Phed vegetable stir-fry, with Thai jasmine rice. Interestingly, the dishes came with edible betel leaves. The jungle beef curry was spicy and the beef pieces were tender. The pad phed was a fitting complement to the jungle curry.Chris recommended ginger fizz drinks to go with our meals. This was akin to ginger beer with grated ginger and slices of lime and a stick of lemon grass as a stirrer. A rather unusual concoction and unique, pleasant taste. Incidentally, this restaurant encourages BYO and there are no surcharges imposed.The wait staff were polite and so was the chef , Tan. The dining environment was appropriately conducive and the decor added to the ambience.

First night staying Airbnb in Bungalow my host said there was a Thai restaurant around the corner. I was pleasantly greeted when I arrived, I ordered the Thai style beef salad and I wasn't disappointed, I'm going back tonight!! Do yourself a favor and dine at In2thai

Me and my frd had dinner here few weeks ago and we both were in love with their foods and decoration. We ordered vegetarian pad sew and chicken pad thai. We love them so much and definitely we are going back there soon

I have been all over Thailand and it's so hard to find a great tasting Thai dish in Oz but here it is!It doesn't look much from the road but head in and try the meals, you shouldn't be disappointed.Friendly service and almost felt like I was in Thailand when I stepped inside.Only downside, I asked for traditional hot but as usual it was mild at best for this westerner! Maybe extra hot if you like chili? Happy eating and enjoy!

We went as a group to this restaurant and had the most wonderful Thai. Beautiful flavours and lovely fresh ingredients. A nice atmosphere to the place and the staff were excellent. Would certainly dine here again when visiting Cairns.
