Lettuce is not thoroughly clean and people sometimes find caterpillars or other grubs in their salad. (I once did and I'm traumatised haha.) Other than that, they have fast service, entertainment (mounted televisions), cheap pricing (from $5 for a kids meal and $11 for an adult meal).
J's Kitchen Steak House is affordable being only $11 for a couple of main dishes. You choose a meat and it is served with a side of chips and salad. The portions are quite large. I can never finish a plate myself because I have quite a small appetite. The environment is spacious and the service is quick. When the beeper beeps you go up and collect your food. It was previously $10 and the quality and quantity was a bit better than right now.
Good thing about this restaurant is that it's service is good and the food served really matches its price. However there are cases where meat becomes undercooked or bugs have been in my food, which staff don't deal with properly
Bad food with increasing prices. "Bang for your buck" isn't even a slightly true statement when you eat here. For the same price of a steak, you could go to HotStar and get a better meal. Steak is ALWAYS chewy and overdone (despite my preference of medium rare), spaghetti is an average meal, lamb chops are very average too, calamari is chewy and the schnitzel is bland. Water is a maximum of 1 cup per person (not allowed a jug), service is not that great (apart from the one person working the cashier) as workers always seem sad and are very unprofessional on the job. If you're desperate for a meal and don't want to pay much for something that'll fill you up, eat here. However, if you're looking for something that's worth your money don't.
Very inconsistent. Last time i went my steak was nice and tender, cooked just how i liked it. Other times steak were thin and small that didnt taste well. It is cheap and a huge serving so the value is really good. $12 a plate.
