Irie Jerk Hut #1 - Burnham

I recently enjoyed a takeout lunch from this fantastic spot, and I was thoroughly impressed! The food was exceptional, earning a solid 5 out of 5. The flavors were vibrant and memorable, especially the Jerk Sauce and Red Beans Rice—highly recommended. The service was equally outstanding, also receiving a perfect score of 5. The staff was friendly and efficient, making the ordering process a breeze. As for the atmosphere, although I opted for takeout, the restaurant gave off a great vibe that I would love to experience on my next visit. In terms of convenience, there was plenty of parking available, and the free parking lot made it even easier to stop by. Overall, this restaurant is a definite winner!

Overall, my takeout dinner cost around $30-50, but the quality of food and service left a lot to be desired. I’d rate the food as a 1, the service as a 1, and the atmosphere as a 2.

The food was tasty, but I was disappointed with the value for the $30 I spent on the oxtail meal. I only received three pieces, and one of them was about the size of my thumb. To make matters worse, there was no gravy at all—just completely dry. I understand that extra gravy might come at an additional cost, but there should definitely be some included with the meal. After driving over an hour to pick up my food, I felt ripped off. While the food was enjoyable, I’m not sure if I'll be ordering from them again, as this experience really frustrated me. The pictures illustrate the small portion size and the lack of gravy.

Now this place let me tell you, takes a bit of time, it’s sort of hard to hear them through the plexi so speak up, prices are higher than on the website menu but I will tell you wot that’s some of the best Jamaican I’ve ever had.
