Geraldo's at Lasalle Park - Burlington

I had my wedding here a few years ago and was not impressed.

I got married there, the food an service is terrible, the employees don't know their dates when writing on a chalk board an fucked that up.

My wife and i attended a friends wedding at geraldo’s.

I had my wedding here in June of 2016. We went through over 3 different events coordinators in the year I was planning my wedding there, so every time we went in to meet with someone and discuss the wedding, there was someone new there I had to explain everything to. When it came time to the wedding day, things were promised by other events coordinators that did not deliver, even after being discussed multiple times with the new event coordinator. They were insanely understaffed. We were supposed to have a champagne toast, and they only had one person pouring champagne which resulted in about 3 tables getting champagne (30/150 people) before we toasted. Our events coordinator didn't even stay past 5 pm, when the event started, to ensure everything was good. Instead, some random guy who I had never met was in charge of how the wedding went for the rest of the night. Nothing was ready when it was supposed to be and overall, very disappointed with the amount of money we spent for our wedding here. Would definitely not recommend.

Food was ok, nothing worth mentioning, average wedding venue food.Service was horrible. The server, who was holding up to 20 plates at a time, dropped two plates with hot food onto my husband, and of course his suit was dirty of food stains and all. What really scared me was that my son (1 year old) was sitting right next to him, and could have been hurt. No apology was given right after the accident, the server(s) quickly ran out and grab one tiny piece of napkin for my husband and that's it. My husband asked for the manager because the server did not even apologize. It took the manager quite some time to get to our table, and the drama begun. He apologized, not sincerely, but quickly started saying that things like this happen a lot (excuse me?) here and it is not a big deal; he is very busy hence will not have time to deal with tiny things like this. He did offer to dry clean my husband's suits but it was a lengthy process mainly because the manager was too busy to attend to tiny things like this. Overall, the experience was definitely "one of a kind". I felt bad for my friends who got married here because they spent a fortune on this venue. I even overheard the manager complaining to the wedding planner that the guests were too loud...Seriously?The view was beautifully and very relaxing.I would not recommend this venue to anyone.
