The Lost Cajun - Burlington

The gator bites were excessively salty, which was off-putting. When our main dishes arrived, I was shocked by the portion sizes. I received just three pieces of fish, a few small oysters, two or three hush puppies, and three shrimp. For the price we paid, I was very dissatisfied with the portions. I understand that prices have gone up due to inflation, but I felt that this meal did not justify the cost of $65.65. We could have gone to Mayflower for a much fuller experience. It’s a shame because I truly respect business owners trying to make a living, but I don’t think we will be returning to this place. The prices are too high for the amount of food served. Again, we would have left disappointed if it weren't for the excellent service from Sloan.

Server was attentive and courteous. It was only one cook and our food came out timely. I got the shrimp and grits and they were hot and flavorful! My family enjoyed their food as well especially the Voo Doo dish with sausage and shrimp. Only complaint was that it was really cold.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant! We were given a chef's sample that allowed us to try six different dishes. I chose the Lobster Bisque, and it was absolutely delicious! We also ordered fried okra as an appetizer. The service was quick, and the food was fantastic!

Quite a strange experience. Ordered a shrimp Po boy, which I thought would be hard to mess up, but it ended up being small, dry and lacking shrimp. Bread was not tasty as well. Also got a flight of sampler foods. Jambalaya, red beans and rice, other foods. They were not good.

I've never been to Louisiana, so I can't speak to how authentic it is, but the food here is fantastic. Everything, from the po' boy to the jambalaya, is delicious. They even provide a sampling tray for you to try, helping you decide on their signature dishes.
