I am a big fan of supermarket ice creams, but I have been on my IntéKai weight loss plan and have dropped alot of pounds. This was one of my indulgence days and I decided to get an ice cream sunday, and it was worth it. The service was wonderful, access was easy and the staff was covid cautious, helpful, patient and courteous. An indulgence day is more than the calories, it's also an opportunity for positive shared experiences, thanks Bruster's.
The restaurant is open until 11 PM, which was really convenient for me. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. I ordered two waffle cones, and it cost me around $10. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they make all their ice creams in-house, which is quite impressive. The server was very nice too.
It's a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. I think Bruster's is the best ice cream shop in Georgia. However, I don't think a single scoop should cost $3.50 to $4.00, especially when you can get a whole gallon of ice cream from the grocery store for around the same price. I would love to see high-quality ice cream offered at a lower price.
1. As a general rule, try to avoid places that are hiring or training new staff on the scoopers. 2. This dish takes time to prepare—it’s not a quick option. If you order two, it may take twice as long! This is especially tough when it's freezing outside at 29 degrees. 3. Bring your own knife since they don’t provide anything to help with the apple, and the plastic spoon they do give you won't be much assistance. Overall, it’s a very tasty dish, but it does come at a price. Get it while you can!
