フィードバックを提供するBellagamba is the most famous Boudegon in Av. Rivadavia: Empanadas and drinks are served themselves, other meat dishes are served by water at the tables. the place is always crowded and fiding a table i 'ts is not easy. Tip: Ask for mani '!
8/1/18 We three middle British guys are in the first week of a month tour of Argentina. We met two local friends in this place on their recommendation, as it was a good, friendly, social and cheaper place. I made a move before lunch and it was certainly all up and busy. It reminded me of a JD Wetherspoons in England, but much cheaper! We met all at 17 o'clock outside the nearby Wildtheater Cafe de los Angelitos, decided that for a coffee and cake was too expensive (and we also have no sweet teeth, especially since one of us has deep root canal treatment the next day, so our overlay in BA for four additional nights. We quickly moved to the Bellagamba, which was less busy, so we found a triple table for the five of us in the richly decorated bodegas, dark wood lined main room. When I marched on that day looking for yellow or blue penguins (I found very good prices in 'Gastro Pan' just from Jujuy 2km south and needed a drink. The white Viejo Vasco was our popular budget tipper and it was only 80 here! I took this and a 1L Quilmes (90 and two half liters of Fanta) (each 50! from the row of refrigerators on the back. Wine is almost cheaper than Fanta, which is crazy! I decanted most of the chilled bottle of wine in half litre yellow penguino to add the bodegas atmosphere. The young waiters were sampled as they were too young to remember when real bodegas always served home local wine in Penguinos! We drank this easily and since it was 'tea time' (about 6pm I snapped five pastries from the hot counter on the back for 100 total! They were a mixture of three cattle, ham and chicken and two humitos (corn and cheese for us three vegetables. These all went well and before we knew it, another bottle of VV was bought, along with a glass of ice and more drinks. Talks and drinks flow. One of our local friends had to go at 7:30 a.m. and the remaining four of us decided to dilute the alcohol with a proper meal, although sooner for the locals (although others were happy to eat than the place became more busy again). The system of ordering a la carte involved choice from the menu, order and payment at the cashier (on the exit when the self service back room, get a large number of card on the table. The boys would give the food to your table. The menu was quite extensive, although Veggie options were a little limited. The peculiarity of the day (on the A frame board outside was Spag Bol (80 but no veg dish of the day equivalent. We were happy to choose a la carte as prices were so good. My friend recommended the Matambre Mariland mixture (160, as it was a famous dish there (as a totally non veggie dish and was akin to German Roullade (which I had as a child when my mother was German). I decided to relax my veggieness for the evening and chose it heartily. My friend chose the fillet of Merluza (125 with a fried egg (15 above and our friend the Tallarinas (tagliatelle (80 with cream sauce (20). Our local friend chose the Milanesa Riojana (150 and we also decided on a variety of 'pages' from Tortilla de Papa (70, Bastones de Muzzara and another bottle of VV wine and a large 1,5l fizzy water (80 but I couldn't find it so that I chose a 1.5l Schweppes tonic water (80). When returning to the table with him, no one wanted it as it was full sugar, so I returned to the until with him and exchanged it for another bottle of VV and added a small still water (30). When we were on white wine, I persuaded the (still cried waiters to put some wine glasses in the refrigerator (she then recommended the ice/ice cream freezer we used later in the evening. I wouldn't have believed to leave my hard sought penguino in him! During the lazy evening I tried to track the number when bottles of wine hold through production (iOS 'Notes' and corks. The first painter gave no revenue for wines and beer, and the later painter threw the corks away so it was difficult to hold a tally. Overall, I am not sure whether (between the three British we had four or five bottles of wine! Run cash at the checkout and ask our local friend to temporarily make the difference, and the beats / VV Swap added to the confusion! We got pretty jolly! I ordered at 8:40. From 8:55 The food came and came and obviously we had ordered too much! We dived into food. My matambre was delicious and had a big piece of steak in it (bang went my veggieness in a great way, with the thinnest chips I had ever seen (but were more soggy!, two fried eggs, scattered bananas, bacon and peas. My friend Merluza was very good, delicious and generous, he said. He was less impressed by the more bland Bastones. Our friend found his Tallarines very bland (it was just a cream sauce, he would have chosen something spicier and had to pour on it Parmesan and salt. Our local friend is happy flown through his Milanesa! I'm sure he was happy. As we had ordered a la carte, we were provided with bread and bread without a service fee, although we could not eat them all. We didn't even start the Tortilla! At the end of our meal at 10:15 we were finished, the wine and waiters cleared the table and offered to wrap the tortilla to take off. I also asked about bread, because our hotel breakfast is only sweet medialunas and cookies. The waiter returned with a bag with only the tortilla and I insisted that he also throw the bread in, he quickly went away and returned with a full bag. Yes, we had some of the remains for breakfast and lunch! Very nice as we were already overhauled from a few nights. We left at 10:30 (five hours there, including long layers for the waiting guys and two layers of up to men. Strangely it was only male staff, some of Whim appreciated our camping it on! We left sate, very happy and finally came back to our hotel after a 25-minute walk through the congress. Our next morning was pretty slow and I write today while the evening is relatively fresh in my head. I just found a bottle of wine that we brought back, so the hotel freezer is here for lunch! Now I know we just got through four bottles last night! My friend had fixed his dental problems and lunch with Bellagamba remains will be soon!
I thought we could get a cheap dinner and a beer. I didn't know until I arrived that the food was not fresh and you got all the microwaves. The atmosphere is cool and full of locals I would recommend it for drinks and snacks instead of a meal.
I have visited San Telmo and those in Palermo, both are a good choice! However in SanTelmo in the evening there are more environments, This is a place to look like in your living room with your friends, they have a variety of choices of Patties (Empanadas) Tortillas, and more snacks that you serve yourself from the buffet arrangement, then from the menu you also have other options, I recommend the Milanessa Napolitana. If you are in a tight budget, you will also find a menu of the day for 33 pesos (not even 4 dollars).
The first thing you notice when you walk in are the pizza pies in a buffet arrangement...your first sign Bellagamba is different from all the rest. The menu service offers a variety of pastas, sauces, and meats. Popular with locals, you begin to feel like you are part of their life through conversation and good food. The outdoor seating area is especially nice when the weather permits. Great local cuisine with good prices.
