We ordered through Grubhub for pick-up. Food was ready in 15 minutes. Pick-up was quick and easy. Food was packaged really well. We love the banchan that came with our takeout. They gave us two fried mackerels, macaroni salad, fish cakes, japchae, kimchi, and cucumbers. The japchae, fish cakes, and kimchi were outstanding. We were really impressed by how the sides are well seasoned and refreshing. The tofu soup is good too. Hubby and I each got the beef tofu soup. I got mine extra spicy and he got his spicy. My extra spicy soup was decent, but it had a bit more spice than flavor. I preferred hubby's. His was spicy but with the right amount of flavor. I definitely recommend the spicy beef tofu soup instead of the extra spicy. Overall, we had a positive takeout experience from Myung Dong. The banchan from here are amazing. The tofu soups are equally delicious and they give generous amounts of food. You can easily split a single order into two meals!
My most fave korean restaurant in town. Generally everything is delicious here. Or pretty good considering they have everything and you can come with a group that has different taste in food. I esp like their cold noodle (buy one get one free w/o protein). They offer it with their spicy mixed cold noodle too. Sdb is good and their tangs are good. Gamjatang and black goat stew is good too. Errthing is good. Haha
I don't normally order bibimbap but this day I was craving dolsot bibimbap and MyungDong didn't disappoint! The various veggies, crispy rice on the bottom, spicy kick from the pork... what more can you ask for? I also added a few spoons of the soup side they give you to make it easier to mix. My sister ordered the mushroom soondubu and it hit the spot. I get scared sometimes that the broth will be a bit bland but MyungDong does it right. Service is quick and friendly! Plenty of parking in the lot.
Ok. This became my favorite Korean tofu restaurant in the area. Good food. Good service. They offer a variety of banchan. When it comes to banchan they dont skimp. This shows they care about the food they serve and the enjoyment of Korean food customers get. Galbi beef grilled to perfection not burnt like some other places. Tofu soup tasty and spicy just how I like it.
Myung Dong is one of my favorite Korean restaurants in town! This is the perfect spot to come to if you're looking for some traditional Korean food. Parking: So easy! Myung Dong is located in a spacious plaza, so there's plenty of parking. Wait: I haven't had to wait here because I always seem to come at slower times, but I think I've seen lines before! It's not a very big restaurant, so if you have a big party I would suggest calling ahead of time. Otherwise, you should be fine! Service: Service has always been great here! No complaints at all. Food: Their cold noodles (mul nengmyung) and steamed pork (bossam) are my go-to's! My husband loves their spicy tofu soup (soondubu). If you're new to Korean food, definitely order those three things. You'll love it! Their food it super flavorful and nicely balanced, and it all comes out with plenty of banchan! Definitely come check out this traditional Korean spot. You won't regret it!
