Gurkhali Nepalese Restaurant - Buderim

Never had a meal there that I didn't enjoy! Friendly family service with genuine tastes and flavours that win back the local residents and their visitors. Different atmosphere from the Village, for those who prefer quiet privacy and a easy chat over a tasty inexpensive meal.

I recently had dinner at this restaurant and absolutely enjoyed it. I ordered the mixed vegetable platter, Vegetable Biryani, and Himalayan noodles, and they were all fantastic. I will definitely be returning! The service was friendly and speedy.

We went to the restaurant twice last week in hopes of enjoying some delicious momos, but unfortunately it was closed both times. It appears that the restaurant will not be opening anytime soon, as there was no food in the fridge and the tables were empty with no cutlery or any other dining essentials in sight. There were no signs explaining the closure, however, there was a sign advertising for staff, which may indicate the reason for the closure.

We've bought dinner from here about 6 times so far and every time has been great. The flavors were beautiful and sometimes surprising but always pleasing.

On a hot evening, sitting outside was the best option. The food was delicious - a shared platter for the entree and then shared curry dishes for the main. While we ordered medium heat, one was rather hotter (chili) that we expected. Accompaniments (including Nepalese bread) were great. The young lady serving us was helpful with lots of smiles. We'll be going back. We took our own wine.
