Potters - Bude

I absolutely love this place! I wish they offered a cheeseboard for those of us who enjoy dessert. My only critique is the Cornish blue salad starter, which had a very minimal amount of Cornish blue cheese, so it didn’t feel quite worth it. Otherwise, the quality of the food and the cooking is excellent. I’ll definitely be back!

The restaurant had a lovely and cozy ambiance, so we would rate it a five for that. However, for the food, we would give it a four, as the portions were smaller than we had anticipated. The fish I ordered was absolutely delicious, but my wife found her risotto to be overly cheesy. The side dishes, on the other hand, were ample and deserving of a five. The staff were very friendly, and their service was excellent.

It was a beautiful evening, as always. Nikki is the perfect host, and Ollie works wonders in the kitchen. The smoked salmon was exquisite, featuring thick slices of fish paired with a creamy sauce. The venison haunch was delicate and perfectly pink, complemented by a green peppercorn sauce that provided just the right amount of heat. The braised meat was tender, moist, and simply melted in my mouth—absolutely perfect.

Excellent with chef and server alone on a quiet Wednesday will be back

Absolutely love it at Potters. The food is exquisite and the menu was very varied. Service was professional and very prompt. Very stylish decor too. Can’t want to return.
