Simbio is a very good place to go for a breakfast. It is off the beaten track, but very nice. The eggs Benedict were very tasty and the smoothies very refreshing. I would recommend on going here for sure!

We were staying in the nearby K+K hotel, and as this place was listed as the spot for breakfast in Bucharest we decided to check it out. After a short walk and a little searching we found Simbio on a side street in a residential area. At first we were a bit put off by the attitude of the staff, and almost walked out again... Upon entering we were brusquely told there was no room and we could "try" downstairs. Downstairs (i.e. the basement, no windows) the staff was just as cheerful, but we got a table anyway after promising we'd be out by 11:30 to make room for the reservations. Sunday is peak brunch time for the Bucharesti hipster crowd it seems... So we quickly chose something of the menu (it took them a while to come and take our order considering they wanted us out of the way fast) that neither of us had tried before: poached eggs benedict and florentine. I had some home-made lemonade drink on the side as well. Our orders did come out fast, and our waiter gradually became less grumpy with each interaction. The food was REALLY good. We both loved the poached eggs and the veggies. We even considered going back there the next day, but the thought of having to go through that unwelcoming staff again held us back. Too bad, now that I've "discovered" eggs florentine I want them again, I hope they'll be as good as they were in Simbio.
