I've been to Louisenhof several times, the food is nice, the servings are big and you may have a good experience of what you eat. There are of course, some minuses (for example, the don't have every time all the dishes written down in the menu),but, overall, you may eat good for a reasonable price.
It’s a real shame that such tasty German dishes are served in the same package with noisy, abnoxious owners, showing total disrespect for their customers. As they replied, they do whatever they like in „their place”. And if you do not like it their way, their recommendation is that you shouldn’t go there any longer. That is why I recommend you the same: DON’T GO there.
Food OK (I recommend the cheese soup with croutons), but the house wine is not so good. The service is slow and not well organized.
I have chosen this place to celebrate my birthday with my friends. It was a very good choice since we have fond memories of the service and especially the food. The restaurant is fairly big and they have a separate space for non-smokers. W were led upstairs in a room isolated by glass doors; even if there were several tables here, we were the only ones in here, so we truly had an intimate celebration. The design is not over the top, and if you look closely you find the rooms and tables a bit raw, like they could be endowed with more character. The service was prompt and attentive, allowing us enough time to decide on the dishes. We had some traditional Bavarian food (pork knuckles, sausages, schnitzel, sauerkraut), all very good. We particularly remember the quality and taste of my pork knuckle with sauerkraut. I also liked the appfel strudel, even if it wasn’t the best I had. Overall, a nice experience, without being extraordinary, but truly enjoyable.
