Ballekes (sainte-catherine) - Brussels

Very good, cheap, helpful and friendly staff.. we return very quickly..

Soigné, belgissime and excellent, the little restaurant Ballekes is a gourmet address, just steps from Place Sainte Catherine. And to say meatballs doesn't necessarily mean meat, since Ballekes had the fine idea of planning a delicious and juicy vegetarian ball. Also note: the effort to protect the environment. The dishes and cutlery are not made of plastic (and the fries are in a cardboard, which allows to take them away), the slums are made of paper and the drinks offered are in bottles of glass. It is THE good idea for a lunch at a very sweet price : 10 € for a generous ball with choice of sauce, accompaniment to choice and drink. Big, but then GROS kicks!

Three choices of balls, 4-5 sauces to accompany them (tomatoes, mushrooms, corgeoise, cheese, etc), crispy fries if you want... the formula is simple and qualitative, in a small restaurant nicely and simply decorated... Effective, qualitative, tasty, perfect for a little improvised meal!

If you are looking for good Belgian meatballs, this is the place to go. Waiters are more beautiful than my grandma and the food better than my girlfriend!

Meatballs are so delicious. You can choose different types of meat, sauces and an extra like belgian Fries, pure croquettes... The staff was really friendly. We did not speak French, but they are trying to explain how this place worked. We recommend Ballekes because the prices are also affordable. If you want to try a cheap belgian specialty, try it!
