Clancy's - Bruff

We were extremely disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. We were charged a higher price for food than what was listed on the menu. Our drinks were incorrect, and our main dishes were served in the wrong portion sizes. The staff was unhelpful and unresponsive. The owner was also observed treating the staff, especially a younger male employee, in a terrible manner. This behavior was unacceptable and we have no intention of returning or recommending this restaurant in the future.

Our experience at Clancy's was great. The server was welcoming and our lunch was delicious. It was a pleasant addition to our day!

During our visit to the nearby ring of stones, we noticed a billboard for Clancy's and decided to make a stop in Bruff to check it out. Clancy's is a charming Irish pub in a small town setting. Unbeknownst to us, there was a semi-final hurling match happening at the time. As we arrived, we found ourselves among just a few patrons, but the place quickly filled up with locals. The community was friendly and some of them even helped us understand the game. The chicken fajitas and a hamburger with goat cheese were delicious. The staff was accommodating and cheerful, despite the bustling evening. It's important to communicate any food allergies clearly as some dishes may contain allergens. Fortunately, my dairy allergy was mild. One of the waitresses kindly warned us about the noise level during the match, but it turned out to be a lively and enjoyable atmosphere to experience.

I went to this restaurant for a couple of drinks and a burger while staying at a nearby bed and breakfast. Despite the bitterly cold and snowy weather outside, the fire was lit and made the inside very warm and cozy. The landlord was kind enough to put on Sky Sports for me to watch my favorite team, who were playing live on TV that night, once he found out I was visiting from England and a passionate Spurs fan. I felt very welcomed and will definitely visit again when I'm in the area.
