Texas Country Diner - Brownsville

Lots of food for the price. The hash browns were perfect, the coffee was good, and the pancakes were fluffy. It's a great diner for American breakfast. Better than IHOP

Great place very clean staff is friendly great food at a great price

I have visited this location three times. I had breakfast with friends on my first visit and the food was delicious. We all had the fish fillet with rice, fries, lettuce and salsa. Everything except the wait time was awesome. For my last two visits I picked up the same order but the fish had a different taste, was burnt and the fries were way less and overdone. It just wasn't the same experience. Customer service is very attentive so that is a big plus for me because I don't tolerate rude staff. I give four stars because even though the food is delicious, it is not consistent so I believe it all depends on who cooks the day you visit. That's a problem.

Great food even better service. Suggest the chicken fried chicken with white gravy.
