However, the higher prices reflect the incredible variety of tasty combo sandwiches they offer. I tried the Turboff today, which features lox and baked salmon salad on a bagel with horseradish cream cheese—absolutely delicious! The only drawback is that while they have a creative selection of bagel sandwiches, their menu is displayed on TV screens that cycle through too quickly to really read all the options.
This place is fantastic for delicious bagels! I visited on a Saturday morning and jumped right in without any wait. I placed my order with a straightforward, no-nonsense lady, and I was rewarded with one of the best lox sandwiches I've had in the area. The bagel was fresh, flavorful, and just the right size. The cream cheese was thick and delicious, while the lox was cold, fresh, and perfectly portioned. The coffee was also great. Overall, I'd give it a perfect 10/10!
The breakfast sandwiches are fantastic, particularly the scrapple egg and cheese paired with maple syrup. I've enjoyed every bagel I've tried, and it's refreshing to have a genuine bialy every now and then. The pastrami lox and whitefish salad are also excellent. Update from 2021: Scrapple has been removed from the menu, so I've switched to the pastrami egg and cheese, which has become my new favorite. Truly top-notch!
Damn good Whole Wheat, Pumpernickel Bagels; very pleasantly surprised; hard to find LEGIT New York Bagels; these definitely are!
A really fantastic bagel with smoked fish that tastes fresh and delicious. I only can't give them 5 stars because i believe murray's is a better bagel and mt. Kisko in NY is the best smoked fish on earth. But if you are in brooklyn, the sable sandwich is a WOW and the Salmon one (member of the tribe) is very very good.
