Nice pub in a cosy little village, nice staff, awesome beer, just wish it had bicycle parking

I had never experienced French cuisine before, and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed! The meal was excellent, with a wide variety of options that satisfied everyone in our group, and the service was top-notch. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Simply the best little pub there is , has a great atmosphere,the restaurant food is delicious and well priced .The staff are friendly,the bar has a great selection of beers and real ales,and lovely comfortable leather chesterfields to relax on.The beer garden is great fun when the weathers' fine and has a heated covered area for smokers.Whether your looking for a sit down meal,a pint and a bar snack or a few pints' with friends' THE HEN has it all.I suggest Sunday lunch three courses for £11 and then kick back in the bar for a couple of pints' and a read of the papers provided.

Great relaxing atmosphere, pretty rear garden, jazz, blues etc play regularly in the evening. enjoyed the evening meal so much that we went back for lunch a week later. Something for everyone on the menu from frogs legs, muscles to steak or duck. Really delicious the only downside being that the meals were too large. For lunch you can choose from the dinner menu or theres a lunchime menu with sandwiches and bagettes as well as fish and chips. i opted for moules maineire delicious. my husband had the fish and chips which was in a lovely light batter.

Bizarre place, but a real experience and must for foodies
