Great food in a warm and welcoming ambience. I loved how the Thai tea came out in a tiki glass, and the fried rice was a standout
Food was not bad but the service annoyed us. Steak is a bit too chewy and Ke Mao is too salty. Coconut icecream itself is not impressive but the toppings are nice. Thai tea and lychee juice is good for not being too sweet. It was a popular place, there are lines outside around 6pm on Saturday. We can clearly sense that the waitress is pushing everyone to leave as fast as possible so new tables can serve the next guests. This place is really good. Nice to have a new spot that is not Northern style (which I love as well). Shrimp. Ink soup. Curry. Chicken and basil. All good.
Possibly the best Thai I've ever had. The Samui Sunset has a bite. It's tasty and different than I expected, but not in a bad way. It's absolutely worth a try if you have any interest in it. The Drunken Noodles were the bomb. Even with my Minnesota palette I thought my drink was hotter so don't be afraid of the 3 chili's by it.
