The Stafford Tavern - Brisbane

Great little spot for a quick tasty lunch. My wife always gets the grilled barramundi and is never disappointed. For $22 you can't go wrong. I go for the lunch rump with chips and vegetables!

I've been going to the Stafford Tavern on and off for 20 years and i must admit it only gets better. If you order off the menu ( instead of the special of the night which is usually 2 meals, $10 each if you buy a drink- a different choice every night), for every paying adult you can get a childs meal (tonights childrens special was chicken nuggets and chips). The service was quick and the meals were piping hot. Can't ask for much more. oh a bit skimpy on the size of the honey prawns but saying that , it only cost $16.90. oh and only $6.90 for coffee and a good choice of desserts.

We stoped in after a morning of shopping for lunch. The Venue in bright and clean and the staff super friendly. The menu has a nice mix of the usual favourites and some very good Asian alternatives. My husband had the Steak which was cooked exactly how he liked it. I had the Beef Short Ribs and they were fantastic, But huge!. The service was quick just what you want from a good local. We will be back

Standard pub grub, cheap and cheerful. Don't expect much but it is what it is. Steak and chips with salad and a beer for $30.

I often eat lunch here when I am in Brisbane. The food is almost always great and the service is quite good. The lunch time specials are often of very good value with a drink included.
