Halims Indian Taj Restaurant - Brisbane

This restaurant always offers great value. I often dine in or order delivery and when I'm craving something spicy, I ask for extra heat and they happily accommodate.

I was devastated when my beloved Indian restaurant closed, but thankfully a friend recommended Halims. The food is absolutely incredible! The ambiance may be average, but I always opt for takeout so it doesn't matter to me. Halims is without a doubt the best spot I've discovered for authentic Indian cuisine.

I visited this restaurant after hearing about it from a friend. The restaurant is located in Paddington, Brisbane, close to the city. They serve delicious Indian food with quick and friendly service. The Lamb Rogan Josh Red curry had an amazing aroma and taste, definitely a must-try. The Chicken Tikka Masala was average in taste, similar to Butter Chicken. They could improve by changing their gravy to enhance the flavor of the dish. The Garlic Naan was hot, crispy, and deliciously served. The Sweet Lassi was thick and tasty. As a foodie, I personally met the chef and requested a nice Rogan Josh, which we thoroughly enjoyed. I would have rated them a 5, but their ambiance could use some improvement. The tables were too close together, making it feel crowded. It would be beneficial to provide a hand wash area or finger bowl for customers. Overall, everything else was amazing, and I recommend trying their dishes, which are served hot and spicy. Good luck to the team!

Absolutely amazing, authentic Indian food!! What a gem of a place :D Came back after 4 years and the quality was just as impeccable as always.<br/ <br/ Highly recommend the goat biryani and the chilli chicken. The portions are very generous and we ended up with enough leftovers for another meal. LOVE this place!

Had their Palak Paneer via Ubereats, which comes with a generous serving of basmati rice. Palak Paneer is a spinach creamed curry with cottage cheese cubes so incredibly scrummy, and I loved every ounce of it! Could be less saltier, but the rice balances out the flavours, so that's alright. Ordered their garlic naan as well, and boy oh boy was it delicious! One good note is their food arrived piping hot, which is a plus point drone me. Will be back to order their other curries and naans, that's for sure.
