Emjay's Coffee - Brisbane

Amazing place! Very interesting features and cool decoration. And most important of all, the coffee is just right, it has the perfect balance of bitter and sweet. Good variation of salads and raps, also burgers. I recommend.

The iced beverages are decent enough; however, I have one small gripe. Since I have started going here, they always seem to be out of 5-cent coins. How does this happen? Every. Single. Time. Yes, I realise it’s only 5 cents. But how can you be out of 5-cent coins every day? Perhaps consider charging $5.90 or $6 for the iced beverages, since they are all $5.95, to avoid this problem. Service is also a little slow if it’s busy.

Oh what a soulless place. Seems like it is trying to be everything and ending up nothing. Lunch bar, breakfast coffee joint, bar and hangout place, the clutter around the coffee roaster machine and the many blown globes in the main light fitting show the owners and managers have long lost interest. Maybe the prime corner location is all they need. As for the food and coffee - the latter was average at best being bitter. My chilli jam eggs were so dominated by the sweetness and quantity of jam that I didn't finish the plate. The feta had no flavour at all even when eat in isolation, the rocket dull and listless and the eggs over cooked. It's barely acceptable I suppose to have not table service (first place I have been to this year that didn't) so at least show so interest taking the order. A place that needs some love and a refresh for mine. Rarely do I say - avoid.

Well this place is awesome, vibrant atmosphere with nice music, friendly staff, fast service, magazines and newspaper available. and an Amazing tasting coffee, the blend is named Black Bear its a mixture of Brazilian and Ethiopian coffee, i really recommend.

Good vibe, nice comfy couches, they don"t offer table service however counter service was fast and friendly, nice strong taste coffee and memorable pumpkin salad, and all items average priced.
