フィードバックを提供するI went to Cool Beans and Baguettes for a quick lunch. I chose a pre-made salad and a small fresh juice. I chose the super power salad because the ingredients listed on the top looked healthy and included all things I like. I asked for my favourite juice combo. I was surprised that this came to $15 - it seemed just a few dollars too much but I figured that was the cost of a CBD meal. After I sat down I was informed there was no beetroot for my favourite juice. I substituted with orange. I was slightly disappointed until it arrived and it was delicious. The salad included raw eschallots which were not listed on the ingredients and have an unexpected raw onion flavour- another disappointment. Overall, my lunch was okay. The service was friendly and the good was ready to go but just a couple of niggles that would stop me rushing back.
Fresh not fried! Refreshing healthier version to quick lunch options at the top end of town including some yummy salads, no carb options, gluten free, yoghurts & snacks.
Saturday morning just around the corner coffee aid. love the coffee here, but it just took a little too long for the wait....saw some breakfast made....it was huge !! gotta try it sometime.
Cool Beans and Baguettes - Central Business District, Brisbane. Situated inwards from the main street and hidden behind a large pillar - thus giving it a feeling of seclusion - Cool Beans and Baguettes is one of many options for a cup of coffee and some non-complicated food (e.g. sandwiches et al) within the Central Business District alone. The atmosphere is worth more, however, than the actual product. Primarily it is a take-out, but there are a few tables inside; good for a business meeting or a quick casual catch-up. The lighting is pretty dim and calming and gives a vibe urging not to rush the meal allowing patrons to catch up on reading the newspaper. The service is friendly and helpful enough. I have tried here twice - neither time I can say was brilliant. The first one was a double shot cappucino (the coffee I initially order when trying a new coffee place) which was weak and seemed more like warm milk than anything. The second time was a butterscotch hot chocolate which was better - but they probably used too much syrup for my liking, there was more butterscotch than chocolate. Cool Beans and Baguettes seems popular enough; there is at least one more location within another couple of blocks from the one I've tried. It just did not work for me. With other coffee places on the same street, this place is not one I would go out of my way to return to in the future.
