The staff are extremely friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Prices are very fair. I've heard a rumor that they might be closing because of the expensive new lease. However, myself and many others hope they relocate so we can keep enjoying their fantastic cuisine in Brighton and Hove.
We have been to many of the Indian restaurants here over the last 25 years and Eastern Eye is the very best of them. Dishes are properly prepared with lovely tastes and textures. Many whole spices are visible this is not the uniform, mushy gravy that so many Indian restaurants serve. Rice and dahl are always excellent too a great indicator of a high quality operation. There is clearly a very good, highly experienced chef at work here, and we have always had an excellent meal at Eastern Eye, so we highly recommend it.
Went here with my wife for dinner on Sunday evening. Both the starter and main courses were delicious and serve hot and all together. We are vegetarian and you have a great choice of dishes. Do yourself a favour and visit this wonderful Indian restaurant.
My wife and I, along with some friends, dined at Eastern Eye today and, once again, the food was absolutely amazing. Without a doubt, this is the top Indian restaurant in the Brighton area. Despite its location not being in the most glamorous part of Brighton and its unassuming exterior, I can assure you that if you appreciate authentic Indian cuisine, it is well worth the visit. The service was friendly and the experience was worth every cent.
Since it opened, this has easily been the best Indian restaurant in Brighton; authentic Indian food actually cooked by an Indian. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, always a joy.
