Hotel Lindenhof - Brienz

What a wonderful place, really gives one the Swiss experience from the view of the lake and mountains to the decor of the rooms. However, if you have luggage I would suggest a taxi unless you are very physically fit. Although the hotel is only about a 10 minute walk it is all uphill, and I mean uphill! Once you arrive you are greeted warmly and then personally escorted to your room. You are also asked if there is anything that you require. This establishment is very well maintained, nothing shabby, dirty or unattended. It is in fact a garden hotel with gorgeous, relaxing grounds and even an herb garden containing all of the herbs necessary for Riccola cough drops! Staff is very knowledgeable and gives you a guest pass for some attractions. Although I did not eat dinner in the restaurant the menu looked phenomenal, and I can attest to a wonderful breakfast buffet. A great way to start off your day with a good breakfast and a marvelous view of the lake and the mountains. Don't know about the other reviews but upon check out requested help with my luggage and a ride to the train station and had no problem at all. Also upon check out you are given a complementary bag of Swiss Alpine Tea which I thought was a very nice touch. Should I ever have the opportunity to come back to Brienz I would stay here again. Wir waren 2 Paare und sind drei Nächte im Hotel gewesen. Leider ist dieses Hotel definitiv in die Jahre gekommen und sollte dringend renoviert werden. Die Zimmer sind teilweise gross und habe teilweise einen schönen Balkon. Das Hotelzimmer Bauern ist für ein Paar ungeeignet, vorallem für grössere Leute. Die Preis-/Leistung stimmt im Hotel nicht.Das Frühstück könnte besser sein. Es fehlt eine richtige Kaffeemaschine (Kafi kann beim Personal bestellt werden) und auch sonst könnte mehr geboten werden.Das Nachtessen war sehr gut und auch die Weinauswahl ist ok. Der Service beim Nachtessen war bestens.

One should really try to book a terrace table at the Hotel Lindenhof’s restaurant for dinner, hotel guests are lucky enough to be able to eat their breakfast also there.The restaurant does get busy in the evenings but Simone and her staff really do their best to accomodate all their guests’ whims. The salmon trout with risotto was a real delight and a surprisingly big portion considering Swiss standards. Serving strawberries with a balsamic vinegar sauce and ice cream is a refreshingly great idea.

Sehr romantischer Aufenthalt mit dem schaukelnden Bett auf der Terrasse und einem herrlichen Blick auf den schönen See. Zimmer zu empfehlen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Wunderbares Essen mit viel Kreativität und Nachhaltigkeit. Weinkarte mit Regionalitäten. Freundlicher Service und wunderbare Aussicht über Brienz...sehr zu empfehlen.
