Chinese hot pot is a meal style with a hot pot of boiling broth cooking at the table and raw foods are brought out and you place the food into the broth to cook. You retrieve the food from the broth when the food is judged to be ready. Sauces are on the side. When more raw foods are desired, they are requested and brought out. The sauces were not impressive. There was a peanut sauce, a white sauce, diced ginger, and cilantro. The peanut sauce was bad. The white sauce had a very mild taste where I couldn't identify the ingredients, but the sauce didn't enhance the meal. Ordering hot pot includes the buffet. The buffet items are okay. The only thing of note was the mussels. Service was okay. Servers were wearing masks. There is a menu and orders can be placed if the buffet or hot pot isn't appealing. I would recommend Joy Luck for the hot pot.
Garbage. They stand around and watch customers like hawks as they prepare their plates from buffet table. Food did not look or tasted appetizing. I threw my food away. I was taken there as a guest if someone...I just paid them for purchasing my food later. Drab environment.
Me my daughter visited this establishment I was impressed. The food was hot delicious.
Yes, I go mainly for the crawfish and mussels. I speak mainly for the buffet but I think the food quality is pretty good for the selection, it does have a variety and what they had is pretty delicious. However after 2 times go back for food, it does become repetitive and the food does not have high re-eatability. The dessert is mediocre at best but they do have a good selection of ice cream. With that being said, the seafood was really yummy quality and definitely worth the price. I love the “unlimited” mussels coconut honey shrimp and crawfish. I would come back and eat again. I have yet to try the hotpot but I do have high hopes for it.
The food at this restaurant was unappetizing and quickly turned cold. My daughter chose jello from the buffet, but it was dry and had clearly been sitting out for some time. The food overall was very dry, and the broccoli I ordered was hard and undercooked. The grill was not even open, and the waiters were impolite. I do not recommend this place at all. The area was dirty, and when we requested fresh food, the staff began speaking in Chinese and laughing at us. All the food seemed dry and old. It was an unpleasant, disgusting, and overpriced experience. 0 out of 5 stars.
