The people are very nice and accommodating. the curs are in rough shape, more grass than grass. the greens are hard. I doubt they're ever excited. it's a terrible design. on the back there is a ton blind shot. some of the greens are not in the regulation (too inclined for a pin placement). the diakone lodge on the other side (same resort) is one of the best courses I have ever played.
The location of the resort is fantastic, but the golf course itself is quite simple and appears neglected. I struggle to understand how one of the largest resorts in the state can own three courses, including Deacon's Lodge, which is considered one of the best in the country, yet manage them so poorly. It's disheartening that they don't maintain the most prominent of the three courses. Unfortunately, guests staying at the resort will quickly realize that there seems to be little concern for the conditions or standards of the courses; their focus appears to be solely on profit. The state of the golf course is a reflection of the resort as a whole, and vice versa.
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The staff were rude, and David wouldn't let us pay the youth advice fee, even though another employee had previously informed us that we could. I won't be returning, as the atmosphere was empty and unwelcoming.
We had a pleasant round of golf for my wife and me. The holes were well spaced out, and the greens were challenging and hilly.
