It turns a $15 crepe into a $25 crepe very easily. They discretely add a required 18% gratuity charge, then ask if you would like to tip when paying. The lady working the register was very friendly, however it is still counter service and if you don't look closely, you will end up adding a 50% tip.If they fixed this, they would be a great find in Breckenridge!
The most horrible service. Waited 1.5 hours to be charged mandatory 18% gratuity 2% fee. Paid $70 for 4 crepes. Ridiculous, never again
The crepes are good. The wait (over an hour) with only 7 parties in front of us was ridiculous. Maybe a better place to visit in the summer when waiting isn't as bad in comfortable temperatures. Seemed like the staff spent more time running to get supplies than serving customers. Debatable whether the end product was worth the wait. Not sure we will be return customers.
I am excellent tipper. But don't force me tip 18% and another 2% service charge and then also suggest additional tip for COUNTER service. I would have tipped well in this scenario but don't force it. The crepes themselves weren't all that great and place was a bit dirty. Again, I have no issue with tipping for counter service, I have issue with it being forced.
Crepes a la Cart is a quintessential Breckenridge staple, and this location is much less busy than their flagship restaurant across the street on Main Street, but has the same great menu. Both locations offer outdoor seating, and you might even like this deck better, which features a view of the mountains.I loved the Veggie Lover’s crepe, whose balsamic dressing went well with the semi-sweet crepe and sautéed peppers and onions. This is a must-stop when in Breckenridge for a light snack.
