フィードバックを提供するWe've watched this establishment go through a few owners over the last few years so when we went last Friday night we were expecting a twist of just the same thing. We were so wrong. The menu at the Crabapple is one of the most interesting and well thought out menus in all of Squamish. Not only does all of the food look and sound delicious, the atmosphere is lovely and quaint. I had the Duck confit starter, WOW! It was amazing! Then I had the veggie wrap, yummy but hardly any room left after the duck (portions were fairly big). So nice to see a variety of vegetarian meals (even though I'm not vegetarian) rather than just the plain old veggie burger. My husband had the mushroom pate and the fish and chips (so good!) A young girl was playing guitar and singing and it was really lovely. I would actually say this is our favourite restaurant in all of Squamish now (and I've been here 7 years). It was really fantastic, well done Crabapple!!
We chose to go to the crabapple after reading yelp reviews. They were very accurate. This is a small places attached to a corner store in a residential area. Lots of parking. The menu itself is small, but provides a great variety. We ordered two daily specials, a beet salad and two burgers. Each meal was well presented and tasted great. The poutine, if you have never had any, was ok. I have had poutine elsewhere, in Quebec the home of poutine, so I am a bit spoiled and it is a high bar I have set for poutine, so my comparison might be unfair. My salad was tasty and I ate every last bit. Nice hole in the wall as they say.
We stumbled across the cafe whilst looking for a fuel stop and decided to have a late lunch. The young lady server not only served up delicious, wholesome food she also provided us with an excellent recommendation and directions for a hotel in north Vancouver for that evening.Brackendale is not exactly on the main route but this cafe is worth a small detour and lets you get away from the chain offerings for a while.
This little cafe is worth a slight detour off the main route between Vancouver and Whistler. I was lucky enough to be directed here by a Squamish resident and I am so glad I made the effort! What I found was a quirky little cafe with very friendly staff who could not have been more attentive. My breakfast of avocado and tomato on toast was delicious. How I wish I lived closer so that I could visit again!
On our drive to Whistler and stopped to get gas and asked a local about a place for lunch! What a great recommendation! Down to earth, fabulous food, excellent service! They have live music a couple of nights! Looks like it would be a fun place at night too!
