At that moment, there was only a quarter of tables being occupied but the dining room filled out very quick before we left.Dim Sims standard have been much improved (as the reason for our re-visit) but we missed those cute-shape dim sim as described from our friends. However, this restaurant did not let us down at all.Previous rating: Sep 2019 5/5; Jan 2019 4.5/5; May 2018 4/4
Food is pretty good, we like to come here for the yum Cha. However when we do, it feels like there are not enough car parks.<br/ <br/ But in terms of the restaurant, the food isn’t that bad. Yum Cha everywhere is getting pricier, but this place is a bit above average.<br/ <br/ Never realised until recently but there are small rooms upstairs that can host eg family dinners with a large lazy Susan if you would like to book them
The waiters and waitresses were very friendly and accommodating of the fact that I couldn't speak mandarin. Better service than what I'd expected. The food similarly exceeded my expectations. Toilet hygiene was good too. I will definitely be returning and recommend it to anyone looking for yum cha.
Yum cha is pretty good here. I also enjoy their a la carte and dinner menus. Have been coming here for years and the food is consistently good!
The biggest issue with yum Cha is that the food is eaten before any photos can be taken <br/ <br/ Dined in at 10:30am on a Sunday morning hoping to beat the rush. And we did! Table of 9 seated as soon as we arrived. <br/ <br/ Carts of steamed and fried yum Cha dishes arrived promptly showing off their contents. <br/ <br/ We dug through mountains of dim sum including har gow, Sui mai and xiao long bao which has to be ordered off the menu). Also on our table were char siu baos, squid tentacles msg laden and delicious), Cheong fan, spring rolls and chicken feet. <br/ <br/ Mum got jook congee/rice porridge) despite knowing that her homemade one is obviously better. We ordered ‘four treasure fried rice’ which was very far from a typical fried rice : disappointed. <br/ <br/ Although we were stuffed, it was an occasion so we proceeded to order the two course Peking duck. First course, pancakes. Yuuuuum. But they make them for you : and their spring onion was cut very thick. Took mine off my pancake. <br/ <br/ Second duck course you can choose between duck stir fried noodle or San Choy Bao lettuce cups). We chose the lettuce cups for a lighter option. And they were delicious! My partner who had his first yum Cha experience on this occasion said it was his favourite dish. <br/ <br/ Despite being full, we decided to get mango pudding to share. Yum. And ordered egg tarts to take away. Except they were fresh and warm so we devoured them on the spot. Oops. <br/ <br/ Haoke is always our family’s go-to yum Cha restaurant. <br/ <br/ Even tho once I asked for a table in English during a busy period and they told me it would be a 2 hour wait. So I got my Aunty to speak Cantonese and we were seated immediately??? <br/ <br/ But the food is gooood. Would recommend.
