Blackbird - Bozeman

Definitely the best meal in Montana in our two week national parks trip. Food is just well balanced and flavored. No fault to be found in the cookery and all the dishes had interesting, delicious flavors. We had the burrata to start which was yummy and came with flavored cherry tomatoes and toasted bread. We wish we hadn't ordered the regular bread which was the same and not toasted or pre drizzled in olive oil. The wine carafe was decent and a good deal at $23 to share between two. The broccolini was a surprise hit of the night, well flavored, generous, and crunchy with bread crumbs. The agnoloti and ricotta was sweet and salty and were enthused with the chanterelle mushrooms, so delicious. The bison steak was also great well cooked and with a sweet corn polenta and delicious sweet peppers. We love when a place highlights a humble vegetable and this place did it oh so well!

Great Italian fare and a very welcoming atmosphere! It is high on the list of repeats!

Not a great gluten free selection. We were visiting our daughter and she made reservations for a special night out. She notified them when making the reservation that I was gluten free. (Celiac) The hostess even confirmed this as we were being seated and told us to tell our waitress. The waitress then said we don't have a lot of options particularly our entrees. They had just changed their menu which took away most of their gluten free options. Why didn't they tell us before when we made the reservation? You guys need to be up front.

Fabulous experience at this amazing place! We celebrated our anniversary dinner here and enjoyed Burrata, cauliflower, pizza and steak, all recommended by the attentive wait staff! They also helped out my sister who wanted to gift us with a bottle of sparkling wine to accompany our dinner! Amazing evening in Bozeman!

We had reservations for dinner tonight and showed up 15 mins early. We were seated 15 mins after our reservation time and after a group of people with no reservation when there were multiple tables available. Very unorganized with the hostess and when we were finally seated we were placed in front of the pizza oven which was annoying with the heat coming from the oven. The pizza was great as well as the bread for our appetizer, but the pasta was mediocre at best and waitress was not personable and rude with snide comments.
