Park Avenue Deli - Boynton Beach

Came in for a quick lunch based on the 4+ star reviews,,, for a restaurant, that’s a huge deal. I arrived super early and the place looked sketchy/abandoned/ worn out from the parking lot. However, the minute I walked inside, it felt vibrant. The place was virtually empty (it was like 11am… so way too early for a crowd) Just went with the daily lunch special, ribs slaw Mac and cornbread. Oh my. So good. Service was excellent, food legit, price competitive.

As for the food, it was fantastic—everything you’d expect from a BBQ spot! I ordered the baby back ribs and a quarter chicken, paired with slaw and corn. It was all delicious, though I wasn’t a fan of the corn as it was a bit over-roasted for my taste. For appetizers, we tried the pickles and onion rings, both of which were wonderfully crispy and flavorful! They also offer a variety of BBQ sauces on the table, which is really fun to sample and find your favorite. The Caesar salad was good as well and made for a nice side or even a main dish. My kids chose the chicken tenders but were disappointed because they seemed burnt and tasted that way too. This could have been related to the late hour we dined—after 8:30 PM—so perhaps earlier visits would mean fresher frying. Overall, we had a highly enjoyable experience, rating it 8 out of 10. We will definitely be returning for more delicious BBQ and appetizers!

I’m never disappointed when I visit this location—the food is consistently delicious! The ribs are so tender that the meat just falls off the bone, and the collard greens are amazing. I eat here two or three times a month, so it’s definitely worth the price, which is quite reasonable.

I always order the same meal: a mixed half chicken with baked beans, fries, and Texas toast. It's consistently delicious every time. The staff is friendly, too. I really wish they hadn't closed the one in Boca Raton; I would have gone there frequently. In my opinion, it's the best BBQ in town, with a welcoming, family-friendly vibe.
