Horton Bay General Store - Boyne City

If you have not tried this restaurant your in for a treat ! Chef is remarkable, everything we ate was outstanding . Best slice of cherrie pie I've ever eaten ??

Very remarkable place, the store itself is such a treat to be in. I had a terrific tapas dinner and ate some of the best mussels I’ve ever had. The employees are also incredibly nice and sweet. This place is a must stop if you’re in the area!

Another amazing meal at Horton Bay General Store. The salad, lamb chops, London Broil rival anything we had in Manhattan, Chicago and Detroit. Highly recommend!

Although it was kinda neat, the place is nearly barren of merchandise and certainly didn't carry a large assortment of old time goods, as was the word around town. (Cracker Barrel has 100 times more Old Time items in it's restaurant stores, for pete's sake!

Our family has been loyal customers of Chip's deli in Boyne City for years. We have also enjoyed the tapas dinners at The Horton Bay General Store (also known as Morgan's Restaurant) since they were introduced. This year, we celebrated our father's 80th birthday at the restaurant and Chip hosted 19 of us (16 adults and 3 children) on a busy night. He also provided a delicious selection of food for our sail on Grand Traverse Bay with 50 family and friends. Chip and his staff truly care about the food they serve and the service they provide to their customers. We are grateful for all the wonderful meals and service we have received over the years, and for helping to make our Dad's birthday celebration so memorable. Thank you, Chip!
