The Kentucky Grand - Bowling Green

Definitely do not recommend. Not at all worth the price. The rooms are spacious but there are no amenities whatsoever in the rest of the hotel. Not sure why they call it “hotel and SPA”. There is no spa. The piano bar was closed for an undisclosed reason. The tv in the bedroom did not work. I would’ve rather saved money and stayed at Tru Hotel where we have had great experiences.

We were there one night. It was a Monday. And my spouse was initially a little freaked out by being the only people in the hotel I thought that it was kind of cool. Our accommodations were awesome. But finding a place to get dinner on Monday night in Downtown Bowling Green apparently is a bit of a challenge. We ended up at the Mellow Mushroom, which was fine.

One year ago this was a beautiful 4 star hotel that gave us a 5 star experience. We stayed again in 2023 and left extremely disappointed. Everything within the hotel was closed down including the breakfast our reservation said we had included. Road side motels are cleaner than these rooms. It was only after we checked in and requested fresh sheets, ours had nasty yellow and green things spilled on them, were we told with gross indifference that therr is no breakfast, the lounge was closed, no spa services, and the hotel has gone under. Talk about false advertising. What a shame. This used to be such a fun and classy place to stay.

We stayed in the Metropolitan suite. I was nervous after reading other reviews stating they could hear other guests through the walls. We couldn 't hear anyone in our suite and we were on the top floor so no noise above us either. ; I 'd say ask for The Metropolitan if noise may be a worry for you. You could hear the road noise more than I expected, but it didn 't keep us from sleeping or thoroughly enjoying our stay. The suite is very large. Loved the soaking tub and the large separate shower. We live in the Nashville area and said this will be our go to hotel if we are in BG for anything in the future. We walked next door to SKYPAC for a comedy event. Very nice venue. If you 're in town for something at SKYPAC, you can 't find a more convenient option.4 stars because the TVs are small and the remotes were a major pain. Very limited parking directly behind the hotel, but a ton of free parking right next door in the large parking garage.

Pleasant 1 night stay. Clean facilities and room. Exactly as described. More spacious than expected. Restaurant and bar is closed except for weekends. Staff leaves after 8p. Key to get in back door in parking lot behind building after hours. Good views of park across the street. Several options for dining and shopping within 1/2 mile. Reduced score for minor inconveniences … light bulb missing/out, small TVs, water not hot enough. Will stay here again.
